Crowns, Bridges & Fixed Dentures

Custom caps and fixed prostheses that rebuild broken, worn or missing teeth — permanently cemented, never removed.

A crown caps a damaged tooth to restore its shape and strength; a bridge or fixed denture spans the gap left by missing teeth using the neighbouring teeth or implants for support. Everything is fixed in place, so you chew and speak exactly as you would with natural teeth.

Why choose this treatment

  • Restores heavily decayed, cracked or root-treated teeth
  • Replaces missing teeth without a removable plate
  • Zirconia, metal-ceramic and full-metal options
  • Shade matched to your surrounding teeth

What to expect

  1. 1

    Assessment & shade

We examine the tooth, plan the span and record the shade that matches your smile.

  2. 2

    Preparation & impression

The tooth is shaped under anaesthesia and a digital or physical impression is taken.

  3. 3

    Trial & cementation

The prosthesis is tried in for fit and bite, then permanently cemented.

FAQ

Crowns, Bridges & Fixed Dentures questions

How long does a dental crown last?

A well-fitted crown typically lasts 10–15 years, and often longer. Lifespan depends on the material chosen, your bite and how well you maintain the gum around it.

Crown, bridge or implant — which do I need?

A crown restores a tooth that is still present. A bridge replaces a missing tooth using the neighbours for support. An implant replaces the tooth root itself without touching adjacent teeth. Dr. S. Vijay Anand, a prosthodontist, will advise which suits your case at the consultation.
